Smiles...
Visitors...
We had visitors again this Sunday. My mom, dad and Barbara came to see us at our new place. This would have been the first time that they have met baby Ethan. They did not have a very good introduction because Ethan was VERY fussy and basically cried the entire time they were here. This is also why I only got these two pictures : (

Thunderstorms...
I like stormy nights but I do not like to be home alone for them. Neal is working late tonight and I'm hoping he will be home before midnight. I'm tempted to go get Conner out of his bed and bring him here at least I would have someone to snuggle with. Conner is now going to bed on his own at night too and not just for his nap. We read some books and then I can leave him in his room and he will stay in his bed and goes to sleep. He still wakes up sometimes and just comes to our bed in the middle of the night though. It's kinda sad when they do not need you as much anymore but can be kinda nice when they don't need you as much anymore : )
Ethan is growing like weed...he has just gotten HUGE. I finally put him on the scale today because I was curious how much he weighs. I'm not sure how accurate it is because it said that he was only 8 lb's but I think he's much bigger than that. Can't wait for his appointment...Still need to find a pediatrician. I think that we finally have a routine down. It seems like things are finally settling down.
Ohh yeah GREAT NEWS....we CLOSED on the house on FRIDAY!!!!!YAAAAYYYYY!!! Such a huge relief!!!! It's so nice to put all that behind us and move on.
SO another funny story. I'm glad that I can make fun of myself...haha!!! Well this morning I went for a run. It was starting to thunder but I decided to head out anyway. I got distracted because our WHOLE neighborhood was having yard sales so of course I had to stop at some of them. Unfortunately I wondered much further away from our house then I had intended and got stuck out in the POURING rain. I suppose I could have stopped in someones garage and waited for it to slow down but I was worried that Ethan was screaming for Neal and wanted to get home. I sure got some silly looks from people driving by. By the time I got home I was soaked ALL the way through. It was a good workout though because I pushed myself much harder then I usually do :o
Well I'm off to bed, no waiting up for Neal tonight....I'm BEAT.
Ohh yeah last night Ethan slept for 7 hours...too bad I did not get to bed till after midnight. I could have had a great night of sleep.

ssshhhh kids are sleeping...
Most days when the kids are sleeping I try to pick up the house or do some laundry or work out but today I decided to do NOTHING. I'm skipping my exercising for the 1st time in 2 weeks and I gave into the temptation of some chips and a cookie too...yummy. Once in a while you have to right?!?! I will probably go out for a run once the kids wake up to try out my new double jogging stroller. I'm very excited to see if I can manage to run and push the kids. I'm sure after a while it will get easier. It's been a cold a windy morning so hopefully it will be nice enough this afternoon to drag out the kids.

A new hiding spot...
I went to get a tissue out of the tissue box but instead got a handful of cars. Conner found a new garage for his trucks and such!!!
Yuckieee...
This weather the last two days has caused us to have ickie moods. We do not like being stuck indoors. Today should be the last day of the rain and clouds things are looking much better for the rest of the week and Friday a high of 83. How awesome is that!!! Now I just have to come up with a plan to do something fun outdoors. Neal will be going to play basketball with his brother Mike in the morning tomorrow so the kids and I might go back to the state trail for a walk. We will see how much things have changed with all the rain we got. Just a few days might have turned things a little more green.
So a funny story!!! Something that makes me look like a total idiot and maybe something I should not even share but I've been told a time or two that I am an open book so I will share anyway!!! Well last night it was 9:30 before I got a chance to go out for my daily run with supper, story reading, bath time, cleaning up, and endless diaper changing it was a little late. Anyway, first I have to justify what happened with some unfortunate circumstances. It was a cold night, very windy and the rain was coming down. I forgot to put on my sports bra and to those of you who have nursed would understand the discomfort but I was too tired to run up the stairs again and put one on. Well there I was running to the best of my ability holding my boobs trying not to look up so that the rain would not be frozen on my face by the freezing wind. Good thing it was dark and no one could see me...hehe!! I was running the same way that I run every day so I did not expect this big RV to be parked on the side of the road. The RV that I ran straight into and almost fell flat on my butt. Once again, good thing that it was dark and no one saw me!!! How embarrassing!!!

Peace and quiet...
So nice when the kids are napping and the house is nice and quiet. No matter how tired I am I refuse to take a nap these days. I enjoy these quiet times when the kids are sleeping it keeps me sane. Ethan has been sleeping so well at night that I am a little amazed especially remembering my nights with Conner!!! His first stretch is about 5 hours then he sleeps for 3 more and wants to eat then 2 more and he wakes up again to eat. Not bad!!! Conner was up for hours during the night fussing away.
Conner has been taking good naps these days though which has been nice. It's always been a battle trying to get him to take a nap but lately all I have to do is read him a book and then he points to the door for me to leave. GO MOM!!! It's actually very cute but sad at the same time...my baby is growing up. He's been such a good little boy lately that it truly amazes me sometimes. He has his moments when he reminds me that he is still a 2 year old. This morning he slipped out of bed before I woke up and went into Ethan's room. A little visual...Ethan has no furniture yet and his room consists of bins full of clothes and misc. things that I have not unpacked yet. Well Conner decided to open all the bins and pull all the clothes out and throw them all over the room...sigh!!! I still have not organized them...just closed the bedroom door...hehe!!! I know closing the door does not make it better...I will get to it this afternoon hopefully.
He's still not talking much and I'm not sure if I should be worried or not, just trying to be patient. He's a little more eger to try these days than he has been in the past which has been nice. I'm sure it will come when he is good and ready and then I wont be able to keep him quiet :)
Well better get to it...I think I've put it off long enough!!! I need to get exercising before the kids wake up....sigh!!!! I hate to diet and exercise. Can't they come up with a pill to make extra baby weight melt away.
