Remembering G'ma....

Ula (my sister) and Steve got a tree for their front yard and planted it yesterday!!!
Madzia (my sisters oldest daughter) got a rock and wrote this on it and put it under the tree for her great G'ma. Very sweet!!!! G'ma Boho was the last g'parent that we had living!!!
This is our Grandmother!!! This picture was taken some years ago now when she was visiting the states. Madzia was probably 3 and Katie would have been 1!!!

My G'ma passed away this morning!!! I have been trying to remember any moments that I have spent with her. She was a very strong and wonderful woman from what I remember. I'm always reminded of her warm smile and gentle touch when I look at my mom. In many ways they are a lot alike. She wore each wrinkle with pride and joy and she warmed my heart in so many ways when I was a little girl. The one time that I do remember well was when we went to visit them right before G'pa died. I would have been 8 or 9 then. We brought them a jasmine plant. Years later it stood on their window growing and taking over their entire window. She was so proud of that plant!!! I wonder if it's still there : ) She was the one to get me hooked on french toast. I remember that now....she made it for me when we were visiting once and that was it for me. I LOVE french toast to this day!!! I use to love her garden because she always had sweet peas and I LOVE sweet peas. I wish I had a picture, I know my sister has a great one of her maybe I can post it later.

My mom leaves for Poland tomorrow afternoon so that she can be there for the funeral. I hope she has a safe trip.
