this and that....

My husband just cracks me up sometimes. He has put me on the most strict budget we have been on since we were first married.....and let me tell ya it's not much with 2 kids. It's fine I do not mind being creative with meals and our daily activities. It's always fun figuring new ways to have fun with a low budget. But what I am learning is that he is really the bigger spender. We are both pretty good deal finders but my spending is usually little things here and there, which quickly add up but his are BIG purchases that add up quicker if ya know what I mean.  Last night he calls me feeling all guilty because he just found a deal he could not pass up, these sheets. We have an over sized king size bed and buying sheets for it is so expansive. Well he found these for $12.00 each so he bought a couple sets for us and one set for Conner's bed as well. The brown duvet cover I have had for a while but have never used it before because with the brown bed skirt I feel like it's too dark but it's also something I found a while back it was originally $80 and I got it for $20 and for a cover that is a steal. Working at Target is a curse and a blessing.

I thought this was cute....while I was making breakfast this morning the kids were all snuggled up together watching a video....and later.....

they sat and colored together for like an hour.....and later.....

• In other news Ethan has started to communicate a bit more. Instead of crying when he wants to show me something he actually gets my attention by saying mom or when he wants up he says up mom.....kinda cute. He will be a late talker like Conner I guess.
