Would you ever dare.....I am so totally thinking about it. I would love to paint the piano that is now sitting in storage so I have been doing some research. I love the green :)

I've never seen a painted piano before so of course my brain is still in the wood mode look. If the wood needs works, painting would be a quick fix though.
I would rather refinish it.. if it were mine .. I have seen a painted one & I would never paint one myself.
Hmm. I've never seen on either, but they look interesting! Depends on if I thought I was going to keep it for my lifetime, I suppose. If I wanted to try to sell it or give it to someone someday, I'd probably go with refinishing it. On the other hand, I don't think there are any rules forbidding the painting of a piano, so go for it! It could be a conversation piece! You're an artist, afterall! :)
I think it would look great if it's done well!
