Another beautiful fall day....

Today was just another fantastic fall day so once again my to do list was put on the back burner!!! I'm now convinced that it will just have to wait till Monday!!! Neal was a bit crabby this morning because he thought he was opening all weekend at work instead he has to close so that kinda ruined his mood but did manage to enjoy the morning outside. I made chili for lunch and honey corn bread muffins....perfect I tell ya!!!

but Conner can write ALLLLL his letters now.
I write them first then he writes them bellow my letters.
He is having a really hard time doing it on paper though.
I think it's because he has a hard time holding t
he thin pencil.

He is so close to being able to reach the
pedals but I don't think it will happen this year.
He is very good at scooting up the hill
though then going down with his toes up in the air :)

We spent the morning outside soaking up all the sunshine we could. I think this is really the last of the really nice weather. Our neighbor had  a word with us too. She told me that I need to put my kids on a leash and that I'm teaching them naughty things by coloring on the driveway!!! Not sure what that was all about but I just shrugged it off. We had a yummy lunch then Neal and I watched a show before he left for work. I put Ethan down for his nap and Conner and I finished up a project we started a while back. After Ethan woke up we headed out for a hike. Another reason it's nice being in one place for a while is that you get to know the area and find these little gems that are so much fun. I noticed this place one day when we were looking for a car dealership and have been wanting to check it out!!! It's so pretty right now with all the leaves changing color.

by the dam and so there is water on each side of the trail....

The boys had most fun throwing rocks into the river....Ethan was not AT ALL
happy when it was time to leave. He does this thing where he throws
himself into the floor when he is mad but since there were rocks he just
got down low enough not to touch the rocks....crazy kid.

After the hike Conner begged me to go to the park but it was getting late and I was just pooped so I promised him something even more fun for tomorrow so he was fine with that. We came home the kids rode their bike for 20 more minutes. We then ate some PB and Banana toast yogurt and carrots with dip and then I gave them their bath. The we put all the treasures we found on our hike in Conner's "Science Journal"

SO that was our fun fall day....Now the kids and I are all snuggled in bed watching wonder pets. Bed time in 20 minutes for them then it's MEEEEE time......I can hardly wait for a shower and quiet time!!!!
