One of those blissfull days.....

Like others we were enjoying the kind of calm that a blizzard can bring. We were up nice and early and I just got a kick out of watching our neighbor TRY and dig out of his driveway with little luck. The drift was up way past his waist and after about 45 min and not much progress he closed his garage door and went back inside. He came back out a little while later and tried again but was not getting anywhere finally he just gave up and waited for the plow man to come. The Plow man cant get too close to the garage door when they shovel so he still had a little work to do. One funny story I heard was about a man who worked for hours trying to get out of his driveway just to get stuck in the street.....haha.

Neal was nice enough to take the kids outside with him when he did our driveway so I had a little peace and quiet to enjoy. It was strange really I'm never at home by myself....it was almost an uneasy feeling. I was glad when the kids were done and ready to come back inside to warm up.

They enjoyed some hot chocolate with marshmallows when they came back in. Don;t you just love those little mugs....I got those from my brother years ago. They are super special to me!!!

 Then Conner gave Ethan rides around the house on the blanket. They did this for like an hour and just giggled and giggled untill Ethan hurt himself.

And then I made a mess in the kitchen......

and made some BREAD.....

then some home made GRANOLA......

and then some chocolate vanilla pudding for the kids....wing wink....they are more for me I love these with a little whipped cream ;) but I always say I make them for the kids. 

I even scored a back rub and foot rub from my hubby while the kids were napping....not to mention that he made me breakfast.....I was very spoiled today. We need snow days more often :)
