It's a good thing he's this cute because there are times when I feel like we need to start over!!!
I have been trying for a week and a half to get a decent picture of him....impossible task. The camera just takes all his happiness away!!!

Some milestones this past week:
1. Potty training again and doing very well.
2. Going to bed on his own nap time and bed time usually without much of a fuss or crying....this milestone I'm particularly excited about because he has been in a big boy bed for quite some time and as you know some little boys do not want to lay still IN their beds but want to get out and run.
3. Eating much better although still very picky.
4. Learned that when mommy caries him he can use her belly as a seat....thinks that it's very funny.

Kelsie and I comparing bellies at moms night out!!! I think I win but she is only 10 weeks along!!! I was able to wear that shirt with Conner till the very end of the pregnancy...I can barely get it on now....depressing!!!

What a week!!

I'm beat cranky and ready to start fresh!!! Conner is finally doing a little better and ACTUALLY ATE ON HIS OWN this morning. Some cereal, fresh strawberries and yogurt. He is now playing nicely with his cars and a totally different kid when he eats. His cold is still bugging him and keeping me up at night but at least no throwing up!!! Maybe this week i can actually get some sleep, if I can get comfortable that is. We have 6 weeks left now till the baby...yay. The count down is really on now!!! I am feeling pretty good even after this week and being anemic so I can't complain too much...some days are better than others. Yesterday I headed out for a walk since it was so nice outside...OHHH MY WORD. I don't think I was even gone 30 minutes and I doubt I made it a mile but I was so ready to be home and sit down. It did not help that it was still a bit slick out and I really had to be careful when I walked so that I would not slip and fall....ohhh boy I'm sure it was quite a sight to watch this waddling duck walk around on icy sidewalks....haha. I made it home safely though and it did feel good to be out in the fresh air.

Neal heads to Madison on Tuesday for his mock interviews which he has been preparing for for quite some time. He's rather stressed right now and has a lot on his plate. He's getting his shingles on his forehead too...right before interviews...always happens too him when he stresses too much and does not get enough sleep. He's soo worried that he will not pass the interview part...he took his test already and I'm sure he did fine but won't know the results of those till after the interview in March. He starts his new position in Delafield in 2 weeks now....reality is starting to set in for him now too. It's going to be hard on him to be away from his little boy for days at a time : (

Well all the news for today. Conner and I are off for some fun adventures today. Michaels has some free classes for cookie decorating, puppet making and other fun kids activities for their new store opening here in Eau Claire...should be fun. Then off to the mall to play for a while.I will try and post some pictures....I have not been so good about that but last night I was going through the blog and thinking to myself how nice it is to have some of our fun and not so fun moments recorded. I just wish I was as good about our scrapbooks and Conners baby book!!!

Reversing the privacy thing!!!

Well it has come to my attention that some of my foreign readers are having issues with the whole privacy thing so for the time being I will keep it public till I get things straightened out. Sorry for the inconvenience : )

Neal caved!!!

So Neal caved and got him pediasure...no muffin for Conner. He did not eat all afternoon either and as usual after a long stretch of not eating he was up half the night throwing up. Sigh....I feel like the doctors really steered us in the wrong direction with his eating habits. They told me to give him whatever he wanted since he was not gaining enough weight and now he won't eat anything but what HE WANTS (which means snacks)and it's impossible to break and he is not putting on any more weight. At least before he used to try new things and eat at least a little bit at each meal and now I'm at a loss as to what to do. We have tried everything that we can think of and nothing works. I started a food log for him and we will try and take him to nutritionist to see if there is anything that I can do to improve the situation. Suggestions are WELCOME everyone!!!!

Mmmmmmm muffin!!!!

So far Conner has spent his morning in his chair!!! From 8:30 this morning till 1:30 this afternoon....he then took a nap till about 4:00 and by 4:30 he was asking for chips and cookies so I told him he could have a bite of his muffin from this morning....he was not too happy about that. I am so close to giving in but I know that if I let him win AGAIN this struggle will just continue. He is so incredibly stubborn....one bite....one bite!!! I feel like such a terrible mother right now : (

We are at it again....the food struggles!!! It's been 3 hours and he has to take one bite of his blueberry muffin to get down and play. Who do you think will give in first Neal Conner or me????? He has not eaten much of anything in a couple days again and we stopped giving him juice. It's been such a struggle because he asks for food but everything we offer him is a no unless it's fruit snacks or a cookie. Enough is enough!!!

Some randoms....

We are trying to encourage the coloring and learning thing right now so we got him this little table that he seems to like but not for the purpose that it's intended. He's more interested in organizing his crayons and markers and paints then actually coloring. I might just have to accept the fact that he's not as much into the whole artistic thing like his mama, at least not right now.

Ohhh the love...Mike and Derek got into a wrestling match...it was quite amusing to watch!!!

Conner has been sick since we have come back from Rockford on Saturday...not eating and throwing up again. Every time I try and feed him he throws everything back up. We might be making another trip to the Dr. He's still being a good little boy though other then the whole eating thing again. Throws a fit every time I try and feed him anything...goes to his room closes the door and screams. I don't even make a big deal about the eating thing I just offer it to him and if he does not want it I don't try and make him eat it....although I have tried that as well. He's had a few tough days with that but I'm sure it will get better again soon...I hope. He's been playing so well with Sasha lately too...sharing his toys and he gets so excited when he wakes up in the morning and she is here.....he will make a good big brother.

I think it's funny that Neal has to take a sanity test today....part of his interview process for his raise in March. I hope he passes...haha....he did last time he went through the interviews but that was before he had Conner and a crazy pregnant lady around.

I got to go to a moms night out on Monday which Sara organized....thanks Sara. I had so much fun and it was so nice to get away for a bit and chat with the ladies. I laughed so hard that I thought that I was going to have a baby right then and there....I guess I wore the wrong shirt too...not stretchy enough cuz I ate WAY too many of the goodies that all the girls brought. We need to do that more often girls...as long as the dads are willing to watch the kids again : ) Kelsie's husband was at home with the 4 kids and when he called her she asked how things were going...his reply..."they are ALL in time out"....too funny.

New stroller!!!

I had fun this morning putting together the new double stroller....I still can't believe that Neal got it for only $30. I love it and Conner does too...in spite of his sour expression in the picture. He wanted mom to take him for a ride and not take a picture!!!

I have to say that I have been bored today. Conner has been playing so well all morning and Sasha is never hard to look after. I feel very cooped up in the house and are really looking forward to being able to go outside. I'm so sick of the cold and the snow, I want flip flops and tank tops again. I'm also ready to have this baby and get back into shape. I feel the need to get out and run or exercise or do something. Boy do I hate January but it's almost over now only a week and a half left. Wow hard to believe though that February is almost here. We are getting closer to the date when Neal is going to start in Delafield and I'm getting more and more nervous as we approach that date. Hopefully he will still be able to take 3 or 4 weeks off when the baby arrives...it would be so nice to have him home for that long.

What happened to our kid....

.....and please don't bring him back. I don't want to jinx this stretch of good behaviour but our kid has been super good for over a week now. I'm not sure what's going on or what the difference is but we really like it!!! He plays well all day long and does not whine, picks up his toys without fussing...strange I tell ya!!!

30 week bump!!!

Yup...that face is a face of discomfort!!! We are almost there...less than 10 weeks left now!!!

Grandma purse????

SO I spoiled myself last week and got myself a new purse...I have been wanting it for a long time but could not bring myself to pay as much as they wanted for it. Finally it went clearance so I got it. I never imagined having a purse this big but it's nice because it doubles as a diaper bag. Well Neal has ruined my excitement about having this brand new bag because he tells me that it looks like a G'ma bag....not that there is anything wrong with G'ma bags but it's not exactly what I was going for. Ohh well I still like it and I'm very excited about it and don't really care what anyone else thinks so there...haha.

We took Conner sledding tonight since he has his cast off now. He had SO much fun and did not want to come back in at all.

Update!!!

One down one to go....we were able to rent out our apartment last week so that is awesome news. We paid his first month rent but it beats having to pay till April. Now we just have to sell the house...we have not had much luck but we have not advertised much yet...we were waiting for the holidays to pass. Hopefully things will start to pick up after January!!! At least we hope so!!!

We still do not know much about Neals move which is a bit frustrating. The latest we heard was that he would start in Delafield the 2nd week of February...this being a VERY temporary position, less than 6 months. Then he would be moved to somewhere in Madison. It's a little frustrating not knowing but I'm trying to go with the flow. Just really hoping to sell the house this spring otherwise I will be here with the kidos by myself.

Little limpie....

Conner is almost finished with his cast...he has an appointment on Monday afternoon to have it taken off. Really not looking forward to that...he will scream like there is no tomorrow. I'm really hopping that once the cast is off his leg will be healed enough to where he will be able to walk : )

With this cold weather and snow I have found myself wishing for warmer weather and remembering our Hawaii vacation....boy do I wish we could go there again sometime soon but with a new baby and yet another move just around the corner it will have to wait again!!!! Some of my favorite pictures from the vacation....just looking at them makes my toes a little warmer.

Conner absolutely hates pictures and usually screams when I try to get him to sit still so when I do get a picture it's usually in motion. This is the look I was getting today when I was trying to get a picture...priceless!!! We will try and attempt and get one professionally taken once the baby is here and I'm hoping that maybe by then he will be a little better otherwise it's just a waste of money!!!
